Managed Hosting and Care

Keep the website watched, recoverable and moving forward

We look after the agreed website after launch with managed hosting, practical monitoring, a recorded monthly check and a clear allowance for small changes.

Care is more than leaving the website online

The service combines a managed technical home with repeatable checks, an identified recovery route and useful time for agreed website updates.

01

Watched

Availability, expected content, hosting usage and important dependency alerts are reviewed through the agreed care process.

02

Checked

We perform a recorded monthly check covering the main enquiry route, platform warnings and the current recovery position.

03

Recoverable

The current production release and a last-known-good route are kept identifiable so recovery does not depend on memory.

Two care levels

The same care foundation, with different update allowances

Choose according to the amount of routine website change you expect. Both allowances are monthly totals and unused time does not roll over.

How care begins

A suitable site, a recorded setup and a clear monthly rhythm

We confirm the website is suitable before accepting it into care. The written agreement remains the authority for the exact site, responsibilities and any exceptions.

  1. 01

    Review the website

Confirm ownership, hosting, source, enquiry routes and whether the website fits the normal care model.

  2. 02

    Record monitoring and recovery

Set up the agreed checks and identify the production release, last-known-good release and secure operational records.

  3. 03

    Check, update and record

Complete the monthly care check, deliver agreed small changes within the allowance and record relevant actions.

Clear support boundaries

Useful care without vague or unlimited promises

The monthly allowance covers agreed small website changes. New functionality, complex work and exceptional costs are scoped separately before work begins.

  • Unused update time does not roll over
  • Additional work is £65 per hour in 30-minute blocks unless a fixed price is agreed
  • Paid third-party services and exceptional platform usage require approval
  • There is no 24/7 cover, guaranteed response time or uptime guarantee
  • Problems caused outside our control may be separately chargeable
  • Sites with payments, logins, databases or sensitive data need a separate risk review

Questions, answered plainly

Before care begins

The written service agreement confirms the exact website and any agreed exceptions.

Does unused update time roll over?

No. Each allowance applies to that month only, which keeps capacity and expectations clear.

What happens when a change is larger than the allowance?

We confirm the extra scope before starting. Additional work is £65 per hour in 30-minute blocks unless we agree a fixed price first.

Is support available around the clock?

No. Normal support hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, UK time, excluding bank holidays in England and Wales. The one-business-day acknowledgement target is not a guaranteed resolution time.

Can any website join the care service?

Not automatically. We first review ownership, hosting, source, recovery and risk. Websites with payments, databases, sensitive data or unusual usage may need a different scope.

A sensible next step

Choose the care level that matches the updates you expect

Both levels provide the same managed hosting and care foundation. The difference is the total time reserved for small website changes each month.
